At Bishops Down Primary School and Nursery, we develop and promote British Values throughout our school and within our curriculum. We promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of all of our pupils and prepare our pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

Our school takes the opportunity to actively promote British Values through weekly assemblies where a range of British Values are explored, together with our ASPIRE (Achieve, Self-Belief, Perseverance, Independence, Respect and Equality) Values. Children also learn from the world around us through Picture News which provides thought-provoking questions around current news stories and helps them to develop respect for other’s beliefs, feelings and faiths, during class assemblies.
