PSA Information
Parent and School Association (PSA) is the registered charity of Bishops Down Primary School and Nursery.
What do we do?
We raise much needed funds and aim to do this by bringing parents, teachers, friends and our local community together socially to support the school, having fun along the way.
How do we do it?
We organise a variety of events from Summer and Christmas Fairs, to Children's Discos to supporting Sports events….the list is endless!
Funds raised by the PSA are used to provide equipment, resources and opportunities to enhance the education & learning potential for every child at Bishops Down school. We have raised thousands of pounds, every single penny of which has been put back into our school; paying for outdoor playground equipment, supporting school trips, sports kits, book tokens, to name but a few.
We are very lucky to have a growing committee who meet once a month to plan future events, discuss ideas and how money will be spent.
As well as raising funds through events, the PSA has joined Just Giving, so donations can be made through the school's JustGiving page - see below for more information.
Easy Ways to Help Us Fundraise
There are a few really simple ways you can help us to fundraise:
Stikins labels are excellent for trying to keep track of uniform (which is a major issue
at school!) - just don’t forget to add our code (36216) when you make an order so we
receive the commission!
Take a look at Easy Fundraising to raise money for the PSA when shopping online -loads of major retailers on there contribute a % of the money you pay for things you’d be buying anyway to the PSA. This is super easy to do and a great way to contribute with minimal effort.

How you can get involved
You don’t have to be a committee member to be involved in the PSA. You may not be able to attend meetings but are willing to run a stall at a Fayre or help with refreshments at an event. You may feel you’d like to raise your own funds by way of a personal challenge and donate the money to PSA. There are so many ways you can help and we are always so grateful for your time (however much you can spare) and to welcome new friends.
